Why does Cystic Fibrosis not affect female fertility?
CF has an immobilising effect on cilia, yet apparently has no adverse effect on female fertility, which requires cilia to transport the recently ovulated egg. Is it just lucky that these cilia aren't affected by CF, or is there a more complicated reason?
